Candidates gets promise vote

Two hundred and nine FIFA members are publicly pledging their votes in the presidential race just five weeks before election day. Some of the members are slowly pleading for which candidate will vote.
After gathering supportive votes from some Caribbean and African countries, Iraq FA will also join Jordanian Prince Ali' candidature. 'Iraqi vote will go to Prince Ali because he always supported the development of football in our country, Jordan and throughout the region' said in a statement Iraq FA president Abdul Khaliq Masood. He met with the Iraqi sports minister and football officials in Amman on Monday after campaigning alongside in Ghana, Rwanda and Antigua. Following Iraq other Asian voting nations would also support Ali despite, AFC president sheikh Salman claiming unanimous support for his campaign from executive committee members.
On the other hand, German and Switzerland FAs will support Gianni Infantino. After a meeting in its presidium German FA interim leader said that 'Gianni Infantino is the candidate of the Europeans and the best candidate'. By reading this statement maybe he forgot that Jerome Champagne is also European candidate. While Swiss FA president Peter Gillieron praises his countryman by saying that he 'has a long experience as general secretary at UEFA' and that his management skills will be beneficial for the re-organization. Earlier Infantino said previously had major support in the Caribbean region, which has 25 votes. The Swiss have to count on most UEFA member votes but he does not have support from the influential Russian sports minister Vitaly Mutko. Infantino proposed region-wide co-hosting of future World Cups, which FIFA wants to increase to 40 teams from 32 for the 2026 competition. According to Mutko that is not a good idea...and we have to agree with that!!!
On 26 February in Zurich we will find out who will be the next FIFA president.
