Neymar Jr. witness in his own case

Spanish national court has ordered Neymar Jr. to appear and testify in an investigation into alleged irregularities during his transfer from Santos to Barcelona. Along with Neymar parents plus former and current presidents of Barcelona Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu have all to show up in court on 02 February relating the 2013 move. Last year, upon request of Neymar Jr., national court rejected its request of throwing out a probe into irregularities.

Complaint was made last June by the investment group DIS where all parties were defendants. The company claimed that the transfer costed lot more than previously said with a figure of 57.1 million euros, only that Barcelona later admitted that payed 80 million in total, which much of that sum going to various companies controlled by Neymar Sr. This surplus, of 22.9 million euros, is also suspected of evading taxes. Because of these reasons Sandro Rosell stepped down as president and is charged of deceited the Spanish state for around 13 million euros.
