Goal-line technology in major European tournaments

UEFA is expected to announce that goal-line technology will be used in EURO 2016 and in the Champions League and Europa League from next season. After last moth agreement at the UEFA judicial committee in Paris, satellite pay TV channel 'Sky Sports" is learning that the European football organization will make final decision at the executive committee meeting on Thursday and Friday.
Instead of the (expensive) goal-line technology, current (and now ex) UEFA president Michel Platini advocated that two more assistant referees be alongside each goal that should keep the integrity of the game. But it looks like secretary general Gianni Infantino has other ideas who wants a big change that would be formalized in the next four days. Different providers are analysed by the organization but it is likely to favour either systems provided by Hawk-Eye (as we have in tennis competitions) or Goal Control 4D.
Some European top leagues use this technology such as Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and the Premier League. It was also used by FIFA at the 2014 World Cup in Brasil and in last year's women's World Cup.
