La Liga defends Madrid teams

Management of the Spanish league defends Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid which FIFA suspend them for violating transfer rules. Both Madrid clubs will appeal their transfer bans.
In the following transfer window it is allowed registering new players, but for the next two both teams are barred. As Barcelona served a similar ban in 2015, Real and Atletico are punished for breaching the rules of signing youngsters. 'Spanish football through their clubs supports the policy of protecting minors and the concern for their development and training' the league said in a statement adding that 'the current regulation does not really protect the child'. The report also include that 'La Liga has always conducted analysis on the adequacy of the rules of protection under FIFA as well as the different standards of European Union, Swiss state and Spain' and also called that 'the penalty imposed was disproportionate and out of place'. Real and Atletico have denied any wrongdoing with how they treat youngsters and will appeal the bans. These bans for both Madrid clubs have to expire after 2016/17 season. Both teams were hit financially as well.
Five hundred Swiss francs had to pay Spanish FA for violating rules related to the registration of minors for the Barcelona case in 2015. Now they could be punished again this time.
