Espanyol fans expected to be punished

Spanish anti-violence committee has asked Spanish FA (RFEF) to take action against Espanyol fans over abusive chants towards Gerard Pique's wife Shakira during the recent Copa del Ray game against Barcelona. City's major Ada Colau has spoken of her disgust at the horrible chants, while Spain's secretary of state for sport Miguel Cardenal also condemned the behavior as unacceptable. Because of the unfurled banner 'Shakira es de todos' (Shakira is everyone's) Espanyol fans are expected to be punished.
However in the official referee report there is no mentioning of either the chants or banners insulting Colombian pop beauty star inside Cornella El-Prat stadium. As there is nothing in the report, there will be no action taken by the football authorities. But, that may change now as the anti-violence committee at the Spanish sports ministry who asked RFEF what has happened, as the organization is responsible for organizing sporting competitions which can take a decision. Instead of that, RFEF now considers to punish Pique over social media use that can bring the game into disrepute.
