Espanyol fans insulted Shakira

Playing a same town derby game in Spain (and in general) is never going to turn out well. There are lots of sparks, tensions and some inappropriate words from players and fans. On the pitch and on the stands as well. Next two clubs proves this thesis.
After the first leg in Copa del Ray last 16 tie between Barcelona and Espanyol there was many sparkles on the pitch. The main stain in this game was when the Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez intentionally stomped on the Barcelona's left leg Lionel Messi. The Argentine star angrily was going to confront Lopez before being separated by his teammate Luis Suarez. As that was not enough the 'enemy moves' continued in the second leg fixture between these two sides.
Apart from the pitch, the stands were also boiling with various 'hate' banners towards the guests. At the Estadi Cornella-El Prat, home (Espanyol) fans unfurled banners insulting Shakira and also was seeing banner who was praising Lopez's move from the first leg.
That was why Barcelona's mayor Ada Colau slammed Espanyol fans for displaying a derogatory banner towards the 38-year old beauty pop star Shakira on Wednesday night. Colombian star is the partner of Barcelona defender Gerard Pique. The reason...well there are more actually. First one is that the Espanyol Barcelona supporters unfurled a banner reading 'Shakira es de todos' (Shakira is everyone's). That made city's female mayor Colau furious. 'To look at it damages your eyes', Colau told Catalan private radio station RAC1. Another banner was referring to Shakira's ex-boyfriend Antonio de la Rua who dated the singer 11 years. It read 'Antonio de la Rua contigo empezo todo' (Everything began with you Antonio de la Rua) as this message was also aimed at Pique. Third banner in this bad-tempered game was aimed at Ballon d'Or five star winner Lionel Messi regarding to that incident from Camp Nou, which reads 'Pau, your foot shows us the way'. Barcelona's president Josep Maria Bartomeu called the match officials to ensure action was taken against Espanyol supporters. Spanish FA could punish the whole team for their fans' behavior after a spate of warnings.
However, that did not stopped angering Pique and company as Barcelona beat them 2:0 away, 6:1 on aggregate.
