Balkan candidate for president of UEFA

As current UEFA president Michel Platini is suspended for 8 years from football it is certain that we are going to have changes for that organization as well. After FIFA elections, the UEFA congress will be meeting at the end of February. According to the Croatian newspaper 'Jutarnji list', on that meeting from the Balkan Peninsula will emerge one candidate - Ivan Curkovic. Before that, on 26 January Serbian FA will host a meeting in Belgrade from which there will be representatives of all federations from Southeast Europe which will discuss, among other things, the future of UEFA. Then they will propose its candidate for president. Jutarnji list indicates that Curkovic has an excellent biography, first as a football player and then as a sports official. Legendary goalkeeper of Partizan Belgrade has a very good and honorable name in the world of football, especially in France and Europe.
His career started at Velez, later he moved to Partizan, who headed the 'black and white' 16 years, and also played for Saint-Etienne. Four years he was the president of the Serbian Olympic Committee and currently is the vice president of the Serbian FA. Has returned recently at the helm of Partizan after resignation of the entire administration. Curkovic is also the holder of the Order of the French Legion of Honor and an honorary citizen of St. Etienne.
We wish him best of luck on his candidacy!!!
