Re-visiting bidding process for two World Cups

Bahrain sheikh Salman Bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa is going to re-visit the next two World Cups bidding processes in Russia 2018 and Qatar 2022. If he is elected in next month FIFA presidential race the sheikh would reconsider those two tournaments if 'wrongful contact' has been proven. Switzerland's prosecutor is also investigating FIFA's award to Russia and Qatar, a small, wealthy desert country with no real football tradition. On a on-line survey conducted on the social media, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) president did not give an answer if he would vote again for these two countries if the bidding process was hypothetically re-run. However, one of the Bahrain election rivals, Frenchman Jerome Champagne said that he would vote again for Russia and award the 2022 competition to USA. The other 3 remaining candidates, Ali Bin Al-Hussein (Jordanian FA president and Prince), Gianni Infantino (UEFA general secretary) and Tokyo Sexwale (South African businessman), refused to participate in the survey. Ali, Champagne, Infantino and Sexwale are due to present their plans for the FIFA role at a 27 January forum convened by the European Parliament Sports Intergroup in Brussels.
FIFA will elect a new president on 26 February and Salman have the highest chances of winning the race.
