Another empty spot in FIFA

From today the World's football most powerful organization has a new general secretary after Jerome Valcke have been fired from the post. Frenchman who did various schemes has been suspended since 08 October for 90 days plus he received a recommended extension for further 45 days. Investigatory chamber also imposed a 9-year ban from any football activity with a fine of 100.000 Swiss francs (around 92.000 euros). Among all those schemes, bribery and corruption scandals the emergency committee today have decide to sack him with immediate effect. FIFA has decided to put Dr. Markus Kattner as new general secretary.
Sepp Blatter's longtime ally, Valcke was accused of taking 10 million dollars bribe from former CONCACAF president Jack Warner in order to vote and back South African bid to host the 2010 World Cup event. The 55-year old Frenchman that time was working as a marketing director and TV sector in FIFA which he later left in 2006 after a quarrel with a longtime sponsor Mastercard. Breaching the organizational ethics code this 'bad boy' was then caught how he negotiated with Mastercard hot rivals Visa, which costed FIFA 90 million dollars. From 2007 Blatter appointed him as general secretary. Jerome Valcke denies any wrong doing for these allegations.
In the worst case scenario is his country men and current UEFA president Michel Platini who together with his long time friend Sepp Blatter are facing lifetime bans from football.
