Transfer spending record

FIFA said on Thursday that transfer spending around the world hit a record of 3.83 billion euros in 2015. Global market sector FIFA, which has followed the work of over 6.500 clubs around the world, said that this amount was almost twice higher than in the period of 5 years. With TV and sponsorship money rocketing, there were an all time high 13.558 transfers in 2015, up 3.1% on the previous year, and more than 44% from 2011. English Premier League clubs are still the biggest spenders with 1.1 billion euros but China's Super League is showing the biggest growth (increase in transfers), the report said.
