Missing money from Guatemala

From an internal audit close to its association, from Guatemala FA (FEDEFUT) may have gone missing money funds given by FIFA. In 2015 from FIFA, FEDEFUT received 8.24 million quetzals (more than 960.000 euros) in nine deposits from February to October.
FEDEFUT's top budget official, Oswaldo Rolando confirmed that the financial division was informed of the extra deposits. The former head of that division Ciro Muralles said that it would not comment on the missing funds until he reviews all the documents.
Guatemalan police arrested ex-FEDEFUT president Brayan Jimenez in connection with corruption earlier this month. Jimenez has been accused of taking bribes along with former secretary general Hector Trujillo who was arrested last month.
